Based on one of our basic aims as a member of the Toshiba Corporation : “Contribute to human health and security and to the conservation of the environment and the Earth’s resources by continually developing safer and more environmentally friendly products and supplying such products to the market,” we carefully monitor the impacts of our business activities, products, and services on the environment, established Environmental Guidelines to conserve the environment and resources and realize a better environment, endeavor to create environmentally friendly products, and promote economic and efficient production activities.

1) To realize environmental impact reduction aims and objectives, we steadily carry out an implementation plan.
2) We review our environmental management system through environmental audits and seek ongoing improvement of the system.

1) Mindful of the need to conserve energy and resources, we are introducing Environmentally Conscious Products (ECP) certification and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and supply products consistent with customers’ environmental consciousness.
2) We effectively operate a green procurement policy for environmentally low impact products, parts, materials, and raw materials.

1) We efficiently use such energy resources as power and fuel while considering the use of renewable energy and other resources to prevent global warming.
2) We are reducing the volume of waste discharges, encouraging recycling, and systematically working toward the achievement of zero emissions.

1) We set and observe voluntary management standards for regulations, agreements, and guidelines required of the Group.
2) We promote substitution, reduction, and recycling of chemicals capable of causing environmental pollution. We seek to prevent pollution of the atmosphere, water, and soil, and to reduce amounts of discharge.

Through environmental education and environmental consciousness-raising activities within the company, we are increasing awareness of environmental conservation. We carry out environmental conservation in which everyone, recognizing their own responsibility, participates.

We release environment-related information to all stakeholders in a timely fashion, and in an effort to improve our corporate social responsibility (CSR), communicate with government departments, local residents, and customers, and make every effort to live in harmony with the community at large.
